Alexander the Great- Persian War

In the Persian wars Alexander proved that he was one of the best generals of all time. He believed he was the son of a god, and he also had the help of the gods. Alexander laid siege to a town that was defended by Afealties and his men. Alexander had some of the most advanced weapons for siege of the time; rams and towers that would allow men up on o the enemy's walls. One night Afealties tried a last resort effort and tried to burn the towers and rams in a raid of the camp. In the beginning of the battle it seamed that Afealties would win the fight, but the Macedonian reserves joined the fight they swung the battle in the Macedonian favor.
